Complex brain-heart mapping in mental and physical stress

چکیده
Objective: The central and autonomic nervous systems are deemed complex dynamic systems, wherein each system as a whole shows features that the individual sub-components do not. They also continuously interact to maintain body homeostasis appropriate react endogenous exogenous stimuli. Such interactions comprehensively referred functional brain–heart interplay (BHI). Nevertheless, it remains uncertain whether this interaction exhibits characteristics, is, dynamics of entire inherently demonstrate behavior, or if such complexity is solely trait systems. Here, we performed mapping BHI under mental physical stress conditions. Methods procedures: Electroencephalographic heart rate variability series were obtained from 56 healthy individuals performing arithmetic cold-pressure tasks, physiological properly combined derive directional series, whose was quantified through fuzzy entropy. Results: experimental results showed mainly modulated in efferent direction brain heart, targets vagal oscillations during sympathovagal stress. Conclusion: We conclude may provide insightful information on both activity, well their continuous interaction. Clinical impact: This research enhances our comprehension reciprocal between potentially paving way for more accurate diagnoses targeted treatments cardiovascular, neurological, psychiatric disorders.

BRAIN MAPPING IN NEUROSURGERY
Background and Aim: Brain mapping is a study of the anatomy and function of the CNS (central nervous system). Brain mapping has many techniques and these techniques are permanently changing and updating. From the beginning, brain mapping was invasive and for brain mapping, electrical stimulation of the exposed brain was needed. However, nowadays brain mapping does not require electrical stimula...

After the introduction of MRI, new modalities facilitated the procedure of surgical planning to achieve the microsurgical goal and improve prognosis and quality of life in patients. Despite the variable applications of preoperative and intraoperative mapping and monitoring systems, several limitations and concerns are reported for every modality as well. In this issue of the IrJNS, we are delig...
متن کاملMental Causation In a Physical Brain?
Mental causation is a philosophical concept attempting to describe the causal effect of the immaterial mind on subjectś behavior. Various types of causality have different interpretations in the literature. I propose and explain this concept within the framework of the reciprocal causality operating in the brain bidirectionally between local and global brain levels. While committing myself to t...
متن کاملRole of physical and mental training in brain network configuration
It is hypothesized that the topology of brain networks is constructed by connecting nodes which may be continuously remodeled by appropriate training. Efficiency of physical and/or mental training on the brain relies on the flexibility of networks' architecture molded by local remodeling of proteins and synapses of excitatory neurons producing transformations in network topology. Continuous rem...
متن کاملO12: The Heart and the Brain: Stroke Induced Heart Damage
Cardiac diseases are common post-stroke and are associated with increased morbidity and mortality. One possible mechanism of acute cardiac injury is the neurogenic myocardial damage, where the cerebral injury is disturbing the normal sympathetic and parasympathetic neuronal outflow to the heart leading to cardiac damage including myocardial infarctions. The exact mechanism is not completely und...
